- Dues and donations received in June = $61.74
- $300 disbursement for Slow Down street signs
- Received $243.59
- Still a few donation commitments outstanding

- Shooting at 10th and RIA
- Shooter at large but person of interest identified
- Victim arrested for possession of a firearm
- Shooting at 18th & Otis
- Person of interest identified
- Victim is uncooperative
- Parties are acquainted; argument took place
- 15 theft from auto in previous 30 days
- Community Member Judith Ross implored the group to exhibit community unity with the police to help the area
- DC is reducing school resource officers

- Sat, Oct 8, 10:00am – GBIC/BNCA Langdon Forest Patch Walk: The Greater Brookland Intergenerational Village (GBIV) and the BNCA are co-sponsoring a walking tour of DC’s newest Forest Patch in Langdon Park. Join longtime Brookland neighbors Mary Pat Rowan, Delores Bushong and Allison Clausen to take a stroll through and learn about how this little slice of heaven was created and the research that’s going on inside. Meet by the dog park behind the Langdon Park Recreation Center and wear comfortable shoes (sneakers). More information here.
