Initiative 83 is on the DC ballot this November. If enacted, Initiative 83 would do two things: 1) replace DC’s current plurality election system with a ranked-choice voting system, and 2) change DC’s current party affiliation requirements for voting in party primary elections. The pros and cons of Initiative 83 are debated in this engaging discussion between experts from opposing sides. Brianna McGowan is representing the side in favor of Initiative 83, Make All Votes Count DC. Deirdre Brown is representing the side opposed to Initiative 83, Vote No on Initiative 83. The debate is moderated by Michael Brice-Saddler, a local reporter with the Washington Post.
