Initiative 83 is on the DC ballot this November. If enacted, Initiative 83 would do two things: 1) replace DC’s current plurality election system with a ranked-choice voting system, and 2) change DC’s current party affiliation requirements for voting in party primary elections. The pros and cons of Initiative 83 are debated in this engaging discussion between experts from opposing sides.
