* * * Wake for Philip Joseph Blair: 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 * * *
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church: 1029 Monroe Street, NE, in Brookland
In the spirit of an Irish wake we are gathering to share long stories, tell silly jokes, and build community in his memory. Formal eulogizing will be followed by food, drinks, and further storytelling at St. Anthony’s Margot Hall (next door to the church). There will be plenty of food and drink, but please feel free to bring a favorite dish to share in celebration of Phil. In lieu of flowers… attend a city council meeting, write a sternly worded letter to a public official who could do better, or engage a stranger and make a new friend. Contact Caroline Petti if you have questions or need additional information.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
Next BNCA Meeting: Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 7:00 PM
