Treasurer’s Report:

• Ending June 2022 balance = $6,932.17
  • Dues and donations received in June = $61.74
  • $250 donation in June to Brookland Middle Career Fair
• Treasurer’s report accepted (Motion: Rene McCray; Second: Elise Scott)

DDOT Presentation: Dalando Baker, Stephanie Piper, Carolina Butrago, Michael Alvino

• Dalando Baker
  • Truck Restrictions: (see Summary of DDOT Truck Restrictions)
    • Must be a “Local” street
    • Not a primary emergency, bus, or truck route
    • Can’t be construction related
    • Can’t have a destination on the street
    • Only authorized signs allowed
  • 13th & Franklin working on red light camera
  • Elise Scott inquired about what happened to the signs she put up and what changed for
    the 1 1/4 signs to change to 2 axle signs
    • Dalando unsure of answers on these questions but will return with more
      information
• Michael Alvino
  • 8th St Bike Lane to be finished as an MBT connector soon (see DDOT’s Presentation to the BNCA)
  • Street will be one-way northbound
  • Parking/driving is serpentine depending on the usage of the adjacent land
• Carolina Butrago
  • Franklin and Monroe at 12 th street will have an open streets event

MPD update: Captain Moore

• Recent shootings at Edgewood, Saratoga, 18th and Otis
• Assaults with deadly weapons have increased
• 200+ weapons confiscated in 5th district
