- None provided. Will present March and April reports at May BNCA meeting.

- Total crime is trending down
- Burglaries on RI Ave, 12th St, Monroe St
- Assault with a deadly weapon at the 7/11 on Brentwood Rd
- Believed to be a shootout between two factions
- Car ran through a fence east of 7/11
- BOLOs out on two suspects
- Joe Miller commented that he called in evidence about this shooting
- He was on hold for 5 minutes then the police did nothing with his information until a gun was found
- Capt Moore stated that Brentwood Rd has business with barring notices for some individuals, but the individual must be apprehended inside the property for the police to do anything
- He wants the block to be declared a nuisance block
- 1400 block of RI Ave has flexible barring notices due to the private parking lot
- Warnings are given but unlawful entry is harshest punishment
- Robbery of $20 with no injuries on Kerry St
- Robbery on Newton with no injuries for $7k
- Carjacking on Newton
- 2021 recovered guns = 151; 2022 recoveries to date = 118
- Rotating officers through problem areas rather than sitting the same officers in one location all day; Unpredictability helps deter crime
- Mountain bike cops on 12th St; 1 motorcycle cop
- Found a gun recently via a traffic stop on Saratoga Ave
- Break in at San Antonio Grill around 5:30 am
- Stole liquor
- Video evidence obtained
- Verna Clayborne asked if the Quik Trip store was “gifting” marijuana as per local practice
- Capt Moore has no info that that is the case
Magdalena Acevedo from US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia
- Commented that a recent DC Court of appeals opinion invalidated a marijuana case so that it is incredibly hard to prove intent to distribute moving forward
- Person must have several kilos for an arrest
Silas Grant, SR Advisor Ward 5 Council Office
- Deep in the budget process for the upcoming FY
- Redistricting meeting on 4/28/22
- Met with DDOT director about traffic on 4/18
- 13th and Hamlin streets will get a stop sign May – June 2022
- 20th an Otis streets will be the same
- DDOT added no parking signs in the 1300 block of Brentwood area
- DPS and DPR need to provide park updates
- Bike lane for 14th St corridor in the study phase
- Office has made 23 speed hump request with 22 installations to date
- Kathy J question: Does DDOT analyze the speed humps after installation?
- Mr. Grant will follow up
- Verna C question: She was told $150k would be spent on Triangle park 3 years ago and there has been no movement or communication?
- DPS Says June 2022
- Rene M question: Can we get a 4 way stop for Irving and Jackson St?
- Mr. Grant is working on that
- Will retweet info about Brookland yard sale
Dan Schramm, Ward 5 Resident and former President of BNCA
- Hanover has filed an app with the zoning commission for the Reed St development (ZC22-04)
- Talked about McDuffie dealing with WMATA to support and protect the Brookland Green
- Agreement was never executed
- Wants green designated as park space in comprehensive plan
- WMATA report of 10 year joint development strategy has been released
- Discusses how WMATA intends to pursue development around the stations
- They are looking for additional revenue streams
- Brookland Station (Grove) will be developed
